The Beautiful People, The Beautiful People.

Take a look at the various lifestyle magazines and shows, and you could easily mistake all that plastic junk for beauty.

I see beauty elsewhere. And that's what keeps me going, always has and always will be.

The homeless immigrant lady who was doing her laundry out in a park, next to her family, hanging the washed clothes to dry on a piece of rope perched between two small trees. She was humming a song.

The look on the security guy's eyes throughout my entire visit at the interview I went to yesterday. Made me feel wanted alright.

The smile and the comment of that tall charming unknown man this morning, when I was about to go out of the elevator at the hospital. I was going down,he was waiting, he opened the door. I look at him, say a "thanks" with a smile. He beams at me, going "By all means sweetheart, anytime!". I chuckled, and the sheer tone of my voice lifted my spirits.

The elderly gentleman that beamed a kind, warm smile at me when I was having trouble to slide a piece of paper through a thin opening at a certain cardon box. His eyes were full of warmth.

Conor, of all people, trying in his own, unique way, to lilft my spirits, giving me something of himself to try and help me.

James, prodding me to go on vent with him whenever he hears me down, trying his best to make me smile and giggle, and being successful quite often, resulting in a give and take relationship whenever one of us is low.

Yiorgis calling me, after all this time, to see how I'm doing.
Vangelis sending me the sweetest message, out of the blue, to check up on me, offering any help he can.
Anna, of all people, whom I haven't talked to in ages and was never really close to, but there has always been a mutual appreciation, sending me a message as well to check up on me and see how I'm doing.

Kostas, dedicating some of his time at nights for a small talk, enough to make me feel better even for a little while.

Varvara, Fotini, Yiannis, calling me multiple times a day to see how I'm doing, if they can help in any way, being there for me in any and every way.

In a period where I cry every day and I need to pull myself together step by step, taking it day by day, I see beauty everywhere. In people's faces and actions, in a sunrise and a sunset.

If it's true what they say, that you receive what you give out, then I am a lucky, lucky woman.

Thank you beautiful people.
You really make this journey worthwhile.

In all this, your absence, is deafening.
I don't want people like you in my life.
I want the beautiful, beautiful people that move my heart.
With open arms. With open arms to beauty.
